Only one of those crews hosts an annual multi-day Barrel-Aged Father’s Day celebration across its locations. Or a New Years Day Cellar Raid Brunch. Not to mention Happy Hour Chicago Fireboat Cruise, a two hour sunset cruise from downtown Chicago featuring 7 of their beers.
Phase Three is opening its third location in Avondale at Rockwell on the River.
Of course, that’s the riverfront brewery that was once home to Metropolitan—arguably the greatest taproom in Chicago history not named Goose Island Clybourn.
We’ve gladly made the trek to Lake Zurich for years, then celebrated when Elmhurst opened because it shaved ten miles off the drive. Hardcore beer fans were literally tracking delivery vans back in 2019, hoping to score fresh drops of Marmalade, Low Ceilings and Protocol at Binnys before they disappeared.
This is the best goddamn beer news we’ve heard all year.
