Apparently this entire time there was a catering company running out of this space not affiliated with the brewery at all. Since that tenant is now gone, their kitchen equipment has been upgraded to meet Maplewood specs.
We actually forget sometimes that this place is a distillery. Recently at the 2025 San Francisco International Spirits Competition, the crew took home total of ten medals across its spirits and ready-to-drink cocktails. Among the awards, Maplewood earned two Gold Medals, with its Wheated Bourbon named a finalist for Best in Class in its category.
Maplewood sits at the end of a residential block in Logan Square, their taproom is literally called a lounge. It’s one of the most beloved brands in the entire city. They took full advantage of every inch of space. The expansion feels right, Im most excited about the extended patio and garage windows.
