Villains Chicago Introduces Meet Your Brewery Series
Join Villains for a bi-monthly educational tasting of globe-trotting rare beer at Chicago’s craft beer destination
Join Villains for the inaugural Meet Your Brewery series tasting on Thursday, August 13, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. featuring offerings from Danish brewery To øl (Danish for “Two Beers”). Started by students of Mikkeller Brewery’s founder, this “gypsy” operation sets up shop at different breweries to create exceptional beer from contemporary recipes that evolve with the seasonal availability of high-quality ingredients. Guests in the bar can enjoy complimentary* tastings showcasing this brewery’s diverse offerings.
Meet Your Brewery series’ second installment continues on Thursday, August 27th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. as brewers from 5 Rabbit Brewery (“Cerveceria”) will be on hand to speak with guests about complimentary tasting selections from the brewery’s acclaimed beer repertoire crafted locally in Bedford Park, IL. Inspired by the brewers’ Latin roots, 5 Rabbit’s creations boast a range of flavors, smells, and finishes as homage to Central and South America’s rich culinary treasures.
“We wanted to do something unique to engage our patrons with the world-class beers we have on hand,” Villains General Manager Marco Silva said. “It’s a good way to educate beer lovers about the range of great options out there.”
The series will continue on past August, and will include a regularly revolving lineup of unique craft beers ranging from small breweries from Oklahoma to Spain to Japan and more. Programming TBD.
*Complimentary tastings will be offered to existing guests who are drinking or dining at the Villains bar, and will not be hosted exclusively.
